SPEAKER BIOS

Pastors and church leaders, the calling upon your life is sacred, weighty, and deeply significant. In an age of uncertainty and opposition, how do we stand firm, lead faithfully, and shepherd well? In a world that often resists the ways of God, 1 Peter calls us to something greater: to be formed into the image of Christ. This October, at our third annual Sacred Task Pastors' Conference, we will explore 1 Peter as a blueprint for spiritual formation, equipping you to lead with hopeful endurance and Christlike humility for Christian service.

Why Attend?

Be strengthened in your calling through biblical wisdom and pastoral insights
Find refreshment for your soul through fellowship with like-minded leaders
Leave with renewed conviction to stand firm and lead courageously

Introducing an annual conference for
pastors and ministry leaders

Hosted by Phoenix Seminary

The calling on a pastor is a noble task—one of divine calling (1 Timothy 3:1). We are confident that any lasting strength church leaders receive will come as God works by his Spirit through his Scripture. Christian ministry, from small group leaders to senior pastors, is best run at a marathon pace, and we commend this long sacrifice in the same direction. Following the Apostle Paul’s example, we “press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14).

This fall, our inaugural theme at Sacred Task will focus on biblical truths about endurance that can be found within the book of Philippians. Service to our Lord is to be marked not only by grit but also by gospel-rooted joy.
